“W-where am I?”
On a bench along a tree-lined path on the campus of Nankaikai University in the southern part of Linteng City, Zhang Shuo slowly opened his cold, hollow eyes. At that moment, he was utterly bewildered.
“Wasn’t I dead?”
Zhang Shuo muttered to himself. Confusion flickered in his vacant eyes. He clearly remembered his friend ambushing him, cutting out his energy crystal, and abandoning him in the wilderness, where wandering zombies eventually devoured him.
“But what’s going on now?”
“Could my soul have gone to heaven or hell after I died?”
“But do heaven and hell really exist?”
His mind was full of questions, and all he could do was instinctively look around.
Along the tree-lined path, benches stood here and there. In his daze, he thought he could hear birds chirping.
“This scene feels familiar.”
Zhang Shuo stared in disbelief. He turned to look into the distance, and his pupils suddenly contracted as his gaze locked onto a building bearing the name Nankaikai University.
“W-what? I’m on the Nankaikai University campus?”
Buzz!
Zhang Shuo was completely stunned. He watched a few students chatting in the distance, brimming with youthful confidence, and could hardly believe his eyes.
“What on earth is going on?”
He swallowed, then nervously felt around his body with trembling hands. At last, he found a phone in his trouser pocket.
He hurriedly took it out and turned it on.
Boom!

Had he been reborn?
The thought exploded in Zhang Shuo’s mind like a bomb.
Only now did he realize that he seemed to have been reborn, and not just that: he had returned to the very eve of the apocalypse.
Okay, worth watching
