Lin Wanwan, the Child Bride

When Lin Wanwan was eight, her parents dressed her in a pretty flowered cotton jacket and pinned a flower in her hair, then handed her over to Sister-in-Law Wang. Through their tears, they told her she would get to eat delicious food and play with fun things at the master's house. Lin Wanwan happily followed Sister-in-Law Wang. That journey began her life as a child bride. The wealthy landlord's family raised her as a child bride and made her share a bed and meals with their foolish son, who was five years older, and become his wife. The eldest and third sons both liked Lin Wanwan. Later, the foolish son fell into the water and drowned. The master ordered Lin Wanwan to marry the eldest son, but she loved the third son, who was about her age. The eldest son refused, as he was deeply in love with her. Later, the third son joined the Communist Party and died in its cause. Before leaving, he and Lin Wanwan were together. Lin Wanwan became pregnant, and the third son entrusted her and their unborn child to the eldest son. After the third son died, the eldest son took care of Lin Wanwan. Touched by his kindness, she married him and became the eldest son's wife. Together, they raised the third son's and Lin Wanwan's child. Later, Lin Wanwan became pregnant with the eldest son's child, and they lived happily together.
