The world view of The Legend of Wukong is set in a universe that is similar to "Journey to the West" but is more grand, including the four realms of heaven, underworld, demon world and human world. Heaven is ruled by the Emperor of Heaven, with a distinct hierarchy of gods and goddesses, and an undercurrent of power struggle; the underworld is governed by Ksitigarbha, and there is a subtle game with Heaven; there are many races in the world of monsters and demons, some of whom desire peace, while others seek expansion; wars are frequent in the human world, and the people are in hardship, but there are also heroes who stand up.
