I wake up one day to find that I've been reborn as the mermaid princess's cousin! The fantastical underwater world I'd only ever heard about in fairy tales now lies before my eyes.
But this seemingly beautiful underwater kingdom is actually rife with hidden currents. As a member of the royal family, I'm treated with respect and affection, and blessed with a gorgeous fish tail and a captivating voice. But I soon discover that the merfolk face an unknown threat from mysterious waters, while an ancient curse seems to be stirring once more.
My cousin, the kind and courageous mermaid princess, is caught up in a complex power struggle. To protect her and save our entire people, I have to put aside my former weakness and work hard to master merfolk magic and combat skills.
Along the way, I meet mysterious underwater spirits and a handsome young merman, who become my partners in battle. After an unexpected encounter with a boy from the human world, I also begin to develop a shy affection for him that crosses the divide between our species.
However, humanity's covetousness toward the merfolk makes our situation increasingly difficult. As the shadow of war falls over us, can I rely on my own strength to overcome every obstacle and protect the merfolk's home with my companions? And can I find my own happiness amid this turbulent fate?
