I Asked You to Ruin the Sect, So Why Did You Absorb Someone Else's?

Huo Hai has only just taken over as sect leader when he binds himself to the sect's destiny. As long as the sect declines, he can attain the Emperor Realm.

But why does every order he gives to bring down the sect end up backfiring?

"Sect Leader, you've lost your mind! The Second Elder takes everything he can get and is greedy by nature. How can he be put in charge of the treasury... What? The treasury is overflowing with spirit stones?"

"Sect Leader, you've lost your mind! How can you select disciples without checking their immortal roots, accepting everyone who applies... What? The sect is thriving with a hundred schools of thought?"

"Sect Leader, you've lost your mind! The Empress has summoned you. How can you refuse to go... What? The Empress has arrived with her dowry?"

"Sect Leader, you've lost your mind! The demonic sect has opened its gates. We can't send ourselves to our deaths... What? The Sect Leader is leading the charge, and the disciples are so inspired they're cutting loose?"

"The heavens are vast and unrestrained; may our Dao flourish day by day!"

Looking at the Eternal Number One Sect, with its hundred thousand disciples and ten thousand swords guarding the immortal gate, Huo Hai wept.

I still want to attain the Emperor Realm! What? You slaughtered all five Great Emperors? Then... then I guess it's fine...
