My Granddaughter Was Humiliated, So I Took the Heroic Ancestors' Memorial Tablets to the Emperor to Seek Justice

My twelve-year-old granddaughter was stripped and beaten in public by a rich young thug for refusing to drink with him.

I reported it to the authorities and asked them to uphold justice, but the county magistrate dismissed the case without a second thought.

They even brazenly claimed they had connections in the imperial court and dared me to report them wherever I liked.

With nowhere left to appeal, I took out the jade pendant commemorating my son and daughter-in-law's loyal service, then knelt outside the general's residence.

Four years ago, when the general personally brought the pendant to our home, he said:

"Every member of the Wu family has served the country with distinction. You are true heroes of our nation."

But now, I want to ask the general once more:

When the descendants of heroes are humiliated and disgraced, why does no one care?
