At night, ink-dark clouds press down over the city, and a storm is brewing. A lone temple trembles in the howling wind. Inside, the candlelight flickers, casting the shadow of a man in a black robe. He stands before an ancient scroll depicting a shattered realm engulfed in smoke and flame, where a hazy figure seems poised to break free of the shackles of these troubled times.
“Fate turns in cycles. He will soon return.” The black-robed man’s voice is low, as though it comes from the depths of time.
In an instant, a bolt of lightning splits the sky, illuminating one corner of the temple. The figure on the scroll comes into focus: Lin Fu! His gaze burns bright, and an aura of defiance radiates from him, as if he could stand against this chaotic age.
The thunder fades, and darkness returns to the temple. The black-robed man rolls up the scroll and places it in an antique wooden box, murmuring, “The prologue to destiny begins now.”
At that very moment, in a bustling modern metropolis, Lin Fu stands atop a skyscraper, looking down over the glittering city. Suddenly, a fierce wind carrying a strange light rushes toward him. His vision goes black, and he loses consciousness.
When he opens his eyes again, he finds himself surrounded by unfamiliar carved beams and painted rafters, and antique furnishings. At his ears are tales of war and the undercurrents of strife at court. Now in Great Chu, he has no idea that he bears the mission of turning the tide of fate. How will he carve out a path to greatness of his own amid the maelstrom of these troubled times?
