Black Wukong: The Rebellious Mad Monkey and Wukong's Flaws

Folks, who can relate? Today, just to make a living, I'm going to risk everyone's outrage and talk about the little-known "flaws" of the superhero in our hearts: Sun Wukong.

Look at the Great Sage Equal to Heaven. He vanquishes demons all along the way, cutting a mighty figure, but on closer inspection, he has quite a few problems. Take his temper, for instance. It's more changeable than the weather in June, and the slightest provocation sets him off. On the journey to the West, whenever something doesn't go his way, he swings his Golden Cudgel with all his might, without even checking whether he's misunderstood the demon.

Then there's his way of doing things, which can be a little too reckless. When faced with a problem, his first reaction is always to pick a fight, without considering whether there's a gentler, wiser solution. In the workplace, he'd be the quintessential "force-first" employee. He might get results, but his relationships with colleagues would probably be a complete mess.

And there's more: the Great Sage has a baffling amount of confidence in his looks, and even calls himself the Handsome Monkey King. I mean, does a face covered in monkey fur really have anything to do with handsome? His vanity is practically off the charts.

But don't rush to judgment. This isn't meant to smear our Great Sage. Black Wukong: The Monkey Who Defied the World and Talked About Wukong's Flaws will let you get to know this captivating character from a whole new angle. Here, you'll see the struggles and growth hidden behind Sun Wukong's flaws.

Why is he so hot-tempered? What helplessness lies behind his recklessness? And could his vanity simply be a desperate yearning to affirm his own identity?

In this story of defying the world, Sun Wukong is no longer the all-powerful figure of myth
