Sunrise Over Yancheng

The wind howled, the rain fell, and voices clashed. Unable to make out the two men before her, the woman stepped in front of the man she loved. A knife plunged into her heart.

"Don't leave me. Please, don't leave me. If there's a next life, don't forget me." A man's cries rang in her ears.

Helplessness spread through her body. A tear slipped from the corner of her eye, and the woman slowly closed her eyes.

My love, our bond was written in the stars, just like our names: the sunrise shines over Yancheng.
