Ensemble cast + comedy + multiple arcs + interwoven timelines

The story begins six years ago, when Xi Sheng, the previous Imperial Princess, kicked the bucket.

The moment Yu Qing opened her eyes, she saw a guy fishing.

Then she found herself facing two paths, both ending in death.

Then her team grew from one person to two,

then three,

then five people and a little dog.

Before they knew it, they were all stumbling along the road together.

Yu Qing: I just love gambling with my life.

Shi Bai: When I've got nothing better to do, I like spitting up a little blood for fun.

Ming Ji: I tend to get anemic for no reason.

Zhu Li: I like coming up with fresh new expressions.

Yu An: I don't talk unless I have to.

Fu Fu: Woof, woof! (I just bark for no reason.)

Everyone has a bright future ahead of them!

The Five Blessings Swordsmen Squad: If we win, we're young and promising. If we lose, we're still young.

They stumble along the way, meet all kinds of people, and hear all kinds of stories. Eventually, they become the people in those stories.
