You're Just an Angler, So Why Are You Going to Ailao Mountain at Midnight to Slay a Flood Dragon?

My name is Xia Fan. I’m a crazy outdoor streamer and a skilled angler.

I went night fishing on Mount Ailao and hooked a jiao dragon!

An angler’s creed: better to die than cut the line. Just as I’m about to become the first angler in history to be eaten by a jiao dragon, a divine altar awakens within me. By gathering incense points, I can invite a god to possess me and perform a divine role, slaying dragons.

When I encounter the unruly Monkey King of Mount Emei, I burn incense to welcome the Great Sage Equal to Heaven, Sun Wukong, who knows how to deal with every kind of defiance.

When I meet an arrogant demon father, I invite the Great God Nezha of the Three Altars and Seas. He specializes in killing fathers!

I join Bureau 749 and use its connections to track down demons and monsters. From then on, demons and monsters have a miserable time.

“Wait, what kind of qi cultivator invites an ancestor to possess him when slaying demons?”

“Xia Fan isn’t human. He’s a god!”

Bureau 749: “Hold on, I only wanted him to livestream a campaign against feudal superstition. How did this guy turn into an immortal and fight his way to Kunlun?”

Xia Fan: “How much money can you make from livestreaming? Slay demons and burn things down, and you’ll strike it rich!”
