The Hilarious Cultivation Son-in-Law, Part One

In the vast, boundless world of cultivation, the Lingxiao Realm and the Shadow Spirit Realm are locked in constant conflict. Lin Yi seems like an ordinary man, but he carries a heavy burden. As a live-in son-in-law, he carves his way through the world of cultivation with wit and courage.

What seems destined to be a serious battle between cultivators turns into a hilarious romp thanks to one ridiculous mishap after another. Magical treasures malfunction so often that it’s practically routine. The mighty Lingxiao Sword runs out of spiritual power after cutting a single spirit fruit, letting everyone down at the worst possible moment. Ye Lan’s “Azure Illusion Sword” is even more absurd: it turns into a “junk collector,” clattering with a load of odds and ends whenever she swings it. The spells are just as prone to mishaps. Liu Ruyan’s magic often goes out of control, and once she even froze her own fellow cultivators into ice sculptures, creating an excruciatingly awkward scene.
