But she was hunted down, and by chance found herself back in that place where there was nothing.
The old man said it was his hometown, the place he could never return to, known as the Dreamscape of Mortal Life. Supposedly, a mysterious race that lived by drawing on thought once dwelled there. They were as long-lived as the heavens, but in the end, they were wiped out.
By chance, Fu Ling learned the truth about her origins. But the old man said she was different from those mysterious people, and that her past might be shrouded in layers of mystery.
The old man wanted her to join a sect, learn more, and revive their race, so she entered an immortal sect.
