The Martial Legacy of Yan and Zhao Is Not Extinct

“Some say traditional martial arts are dead, and that punches and kicks are no match for a bullet.

Others say true masters are among the people, and real martial artists never show off their skills.

They blend into the crowds and hide in the bustle of everyday life

perhaps an old man practicing tai chi in the park at dawn,

perhaps a barbecue chef running a street stall late at night,

or perhaps a taciturn laborer hauling bricks at a construction site.

They train day after day, not for fame or fortune, but to hold on to that one ‘Way’ in their hearts.”
