Xie Hong, whose online handle is "Crab Boss Who Loves Fishing," was an ordinary college student who was obsessed with online novels and loved lure fishing. An accidental electric shock caused a mysterious "Fishing System" to become embedded in his brain.
"Congratulations, Host, on activating the Fishing System. Beginner quest: Catch a bass weighing over five jin within one week. Quest rewards: one bottle of Beginner Strength-Enhancing Potion and 100 experience points." The unexpected voice left Xie Hong stunned and delighted. He exclaimed inwardly, "Am I about to defy the heavens?"
He went to the riverbank he often visited and cast his line into the water. In the past, he had relied entirely on luck, but now, with the System's support, he could sense the currents and track fish with extraordinary acuity.
After a long wait, his rod suddenly bent sharply. "Got one!" Xie Hong shouted excitedly. After a fierce struggle, he landed the fish and weighed it. It came to a full six jin.
"Congratulations, Host, on completing the beginner quest. You have received one bottle of Beginner Strength-Enhancing Potion and 100 experience points."
Xie Hong drank the potion and immediately felt his strength surge. Grinning, he said, "I could lift a motorcycle with one hand!"
As he accumulated experience, the quests grew more challenging, and the features became increasingly amazing, including abilities such as "Fish School Detection" and "Fish-Luring Aura."
