The world is cursed, and some people bear curses too.
Paris, the City of Light, is caught in an invisible war. When the dark butterfly flaps its shadowy wings, it uses humanity’s purest emotions to sow chaos. Two young heroes step forward: Ladybug and Chat Noir. They are the city’s public defenders, swinging across rooftops and using their wits and courage to face each new crisis.
But no one knows there is a third guardian in the shadows.
Mu Lian, a Miko Genki symbiote from a parallel world, made a heavy wish to a spirit of nothingness in exchange for eternal peace in his homeland. Now he hides in everyday Paris as an ordinary Chinese student. He is the object of every girl in his class’s secret admiration, a trusted brother to the boys, and the young owner of the Lianhua restaurant, who always wears a gentle smile. The seemingly ordinary sandalwood beads on his wrist seal the complete powers of nineteen Miko Genki.
He never puts on a battle suit, yet at critical moments, he always keeps the balance of the conflict with a word of warning, a helping hand, or a perfectly timed “coincidence.”
