The female protagonist was once a well-behaved girl from a comfortable middle-class family. Her life was proceeding according to plan until her parents divorced, and her father suddenly ran into business trouble and was kidnapped. She spent her days crying, until one day, she got an electric shock while touching an electrical appliance her father had made. In a daze, she saw Wu Zetian beside her, giving orders and directing the realm. From then on, she lived with a split personality: in business, she was possessed by Wu Zetian, but once she returned to everyday life, she became a weak and helpless good girl. The contrast puzzled those around her, but with Wu Zetian's extraordinary abilities, she soon became a domineering female CEO. She rescued her father, helped him win her mother back, and found love of her own.
