The heroine is a creature from the Dark Continent, paired with Killua.
At the Hunter Exam, Gu Xier watched the familiar plot unfold before her and could only sigh. The scenes that were about to happen were as vivid as yesterday, yet not a single moment belonged to her.
As one character after another appeared, Gu Xier skillfully played dumb and slipped away, repeatedly dancing on the edge of danger.
Still, along her journey through these memories, she also met a group of companions worth cherishing.
“Could you at least think about how other people feel? ... I’ve always wanted to say that to him.” Gu Xier’s gaze settled on Gon, but her eyes drifted into the distance, as if she could see some faraway shadow through him.
“But when I think about it, wouldn’t ‘other people’ just become a burden and a source of worry for him in this situation? Maybe... it’s because he trusts the people around him that he dares to act so recklessly, without holding anything back.”
“Killua, you don’t have to be the one who supports everyone on your own. If that day ever comes... if someone needs to rein things in or prevent the worst from happening, I’ll be the last shield standing between you and danger.”
A few things to know: Killua pairing, slow burn, with the plot as the main focus. The heroine is strong, but not absurdly overpowered.
(They won’t officially start dating until they’re both adults, or the guilt would be too much.)
I hope it's Killua.
The plot flow is very interesting, and the characters in it are very fleshed out. I like the heroine's light character and confident self-confidence.
