[Campus + brief reunion + a touch of ensemble cast + sweet romance + mutual feelings]
A pure-hearted, lively girl with no ambitions vs. a sunny, arrogant boy with big plans
(The title is explained in the story.)
Synopsis:
The first time they meet: “Who’s that?” Chi Mu spots a man in black hurrying past while picking up loose change.
The second time: “Am I your dad’s illegitimate daughter?” Once again, she crushes him with her intelligence and then hits him with a physical attack.
Later, Chi Mu has a thoroughly satisfying “debate” to clear his name; quietly falls for him during a princess-and-prince story; wins him the Little Prince blind box she loves most at the amusement park; and steals a kiss from him at a birthday party...
Later still: “Jiang Gui, I never want to see you again.” The girl screams until her voice breaks, yet walks away resolutely without shedding a single tear.
When Jiang Gui finally returns, travel-worn and weary, it is several months later, at dusk on the deserted bridge where they first met. He asks her, “Is there still time?”
It turns out that no matter how far time carries you forward, when you see the person you loved as a teenager again, your heart will still skip a beat.
At last.
“Your USB drive is with me,” he says softly to the girl in his arms.
“?”
“I’ve been waiting for my rose. And now I’ve found her.”
It turns out I’m your whole world.
