Transmigrating Into a Period Novel: I Won't Follow the Plot in the Countryside

A savvy young woman who refuses to follow the plot X a scheming male lead

Shen Zhi's parents divorced when she was five, and at eighteen, her only family member, her grandmother, passed away.

After turning eighteen, Shen Zhi kept dreaming about a fanfic featuring a girl with the same name as her. That girl seemed to live in the 1970s. She grew up surrounded by the love of her parents and older brother, but in the end, government policy forced her to go to the countryside as an educated youth. Sweet and innocent, the girl was bullied by everyone in the village until a male educated youth stepped in to help her. Little by little, she fell for him. He was the male lead of the story.

But he only treated her like an ATM. When the truth came out, the girl was murdered by that male educated youth and another female educated youth working together. The other girl was the heroine.

The girl's family investigated the truth, only to be killed by the hero and heroine. The two of them went on to live happily ever after. Shen Zhi arrived just as the girl was being sent to the countryside.

Shen Zhi vowed she would never die like the original girl, and she wouldn't let her family meet the same fate.

In the end, Shen Zhi found a cannon-fodder character who had never appeared in her dreams and pretended to be dating him, hoping to discourage the people who had their eyes on her.

Shen Zhi planned to go back to the city after taking the college entrance exam and then part ways with her fake boyfriend.

But who could have guessed that he would come after her?
