Rose-Colored Rouge

[A sheltered orphan girl living under someone else’s roof VS a proud, unruly young master

One-on-one romance + both devoted only to each other + mutual healing + childhood friends + ensemble cast in Beijing’s elite circles + artifact conservator VS retired special forces soldier]

When Mu Yao was twenty, Old Master He arranged a marriage for his grandson, He Tingyun. The bride-to-be was the granddaughter of a family friend. Heartbroken, Mu Yao chose to go abroad for further studies, hoping to “heal” herself. Three years later, she returned to China and saw at the airport the person she had tried, but never managed, to forget...

“Yaoyao, have you finally decided to come back?” he asked, looking at her with reddened eyes.

After three years apart, why had this man’s gaze become so frightening? Mu Yao instinctively lowered her head, afraid to look at him...

She was just like the first time he’d seen her, like a startled rabbit, as though he were some irredeemable villain. He Tingyun felt that he was destined to fall at this girl’s hands.

After three years apart, the vines of longing had grown wildly. The moment he saw her, spring blossomed all around them...

“He Tingyun, you’re the first person I ever loved. I’ve loved you for a very, very long time, and I still love you now.”

“Yaoyao, you may not know this, but I fell for you before you ever fell for me. And I’m certain I’ll love only you, forever and ever.”

My Yaoyao, do you know? You are the most beautiful rouge-colored rose blooming in my heart, never fading, always in flower.
