The Ditiantian Cosmic Destiny System

When discussing traditional Chinese astrology, one must mention The Essence of Di Tian. It is the most complete and precise work on the subject. The writings of later scholars never go beyond its scope, no matter how many words they devote to the study of destiny. Like rivers and the sun and moon, it is indispensable, and can be called the culmination of Chinese astrology. A monumental work in the history of Chinese fate studies, it is a source of profound teachings that has had an enormous and lasting influence on the world of the I Ching, earning the high regard of literati and scholars throughout the ages. It brings traditional science and natural philosophy together into a single discipline. Some scholars have even devoted their entire lives to studying it without pause. Modern scholars call it a "mysterious hall" and regard it as a treasure trove of ancient fate studies. It expounds the Way of Heaven, Earth, and Humanity, as well as the principle that Heaven is honored and Earth is humble and the ideal of "harmony between Heaven and humanity." It may be considered the foremost of all books on fate studies, a true classic to which later students must return to trace the subject back to its roots.
