A hundred years ago, spiritual qi revival began, and all living creatures on Blue Star gained the ability to awaken. Humans could awaken as ability users, while beasts evolved into spirit beasts or mutated beasts. Some spirit beasts befriended humans and could form contracts with them, but mutated beasts were humanity’s enemies.
A group of evil people who worshipped mutated beasts and took them as their totems founded the Beast God Cult.
Aside from the Beast God Cult, Blue Star had seven other major ability-user organizations. Among them, the sinister and evil Dark Church stood against all humanity.
The highest organization for ability users, the Tribunal, had also become a mere shell of its former self.
Across all of Blue Star, only Great Xia remained a final refuge for humanity.
