Shen Qingwu, a solitary and sharp-witted young guardian of the tomb, is the last heir to its legacy. Skilled in mechanisms and geomancy, she keeps watch over the lonely tombstones. The new dynasty’s Prince Jing, Xiao Yu, arrives by imperial order. He seems arrogant and carefree, but is actually cunning and perceptive. Their opposing positions repeatedly bring them into conflict, yet as they explore underground palaces and outwit their traps, they become partners who entrust their lives to each other.
But danger lurks everywhere: mysterious thefts, secrets hidden beneath the smile of her senior brother Shen Wei, and shadowy hands in the capital manipulating forces from behind the scenes... Deep within the imperial tomb, silent for a hundred years, they will find no gold or treasure, but the ultimate answer to a question about the legacy of civilization, one that could overturn everything they believe.
When trust is put to the test and loyalties begin to waver, they must decide together: let the secret remain buried forever, or protect the true spark at any cost?
