[A shameless male lead + genuine coercive pursuit + melodrama + a touch of political intrigue + chasing his wife to the crematorium]

Content warning: This is not a power fantasy with a strong female lead. If that’s what you’re looking for, please move along. Thanks!

Synopsis: On a snowy, windy night, Jiang Yunshi is chasing a cat darting through the streets when she witnesses a bloody massacre.

To save her own life, she tearfully calls him Ninth Imperial Uncle!

Lu Zhi’s sword tip sinks into the ground. At her words, he looks toward the audacious young girl kneeling there

So she’s the fiancée who’s about to marry his good nephew!

And she’s so… heartbreakingly beautiful!

Wasting her on the Crown Prince is a crime!

That night, Lu Zhi enters the palace in black armor. His handsome, wickedly alluring face is full of disdain as he presses his bloodstained blade to the Crown Prince’s throat and smiles. “I have no interest in gold, silver, or riches. If the Crown Prince truly wants to live, why not offer me something I’m interested in? For instance, your Crown Princess.”

Later, he usurps the throne and becomes the villain everyone calls a brother-killer and nephew-killer. Dynasties rise and fall, and a hundred corpses litter the ground.

But one night, someone sees that ruthless emperor kneeling on one knee, personally brushing frost and snow from a young girl’s embroidered shoes. Then, holding a green umbrella, he carries a girl dressed in green in one arm and speaks to her softly.

His words drift down with the light snow and reach the ears of the palace attendants kneeling there. They hear him answer, his voice full of affection: “All right!”
