The Nine Canons

On the Jiuzhou Continent, the declining Great Zhou Dynasty has splintered, leaving seven kingdoms standing side by side. They struggle for power as war rages across the land. The demon courts of the north and south watch hungrily, the Buddhist kingdom in the west secretly spreads its faith and influences the people, the Dragon Clan observes from Dragon Island, and the Jiuli Clan rests and rebuilds on Jiuli Island. Forces from every direction are intricately intertwined.

Cultivators emerge one after another. The Daoist sects remain hidden from the world, the Witch God Cult manipulates the people, and the Hundred Schools of Thought contend. The clash of their differing ideas shapes each kingdom’s politics and culture.

Ying Zheng, the female emperor of Qin: She possesses the bloodline of the phoenix. Brilliant from childhood and filled with ambition, she longs to unite Jiuzhou, but her identity as a woman makes others question her.

Han Fei, a modern transmigrator: Once a historian and detective in the modern world, he transmigrates into the declining state of Han and becomes its ninth prince, Han Fei. Using his modern knowledge and way of thinking, he tries to survive in this chaotic age.
