On a continent ruled by many different civilizations, kingdoms, and races, a legend is told of the Kingdom of the Gods, Alka. This was an ancient civilization whose magical technology and wisdom reached their peak thousands of years ago. Yet the civilization was suddenly destroyed in an inexplicable catastrophe. All records were erased, its ruins forgotten, and its mysterious knowledge and treasures vanished without a trace.
Today, the Kingdom of the Gods, Alka exists only in a handful of abandoned ruins, mysterious ancient books, and oral histories passed down in remote regions. People know that Alka once wielded powerful magic to control the elements, command time and space, and even manipulate life and death. Hundreds of theories attempt to explain the true reason for Alka's disappearance.
As time passed, peace gradually returned to the continent. New empires rose, and old kingdoms prospered. The modern world seemed to regard the legend of Alka as nothing more than a myth.
