When Love Is Sealed Away

“Mom, I've decided to come back to Beijing and take over the family business. I'll be back in seven days.”

Ning's mother's voice choked with emotion. “Son, you finally got in touch with us. Is your girlfriend coming back with you?”

Ning Sizhe glanced at the couple's photo of him and Xu Qing on the wall, his eyes lowering. “We broke up.”

“That's wonderful, son. I'll be waiting for you in Beijing. Oh, and happy thirtieth birthday.”

After hanging up, Ning Sizhe posted on his social media, along with a photo of his birthday cake.

There were plenty of congratulatory comments, but not a single one from Xu Qing.

Ning Sizhe knew she was busy, busy celebrating the return of the man she'd always loved.
