Chuan Lin is a white tiger. The first time he saw Chi Daixing, he fell in love at first sight. He pursued him for two hundred years, but later, because of Gai Ze's sinister scheme, he activated the Heaven-Shift Formation. He thought he would die, but five hundred years later, he rose from the earth again.
When he woke, five hundred years had passed. Chuan Lin staggered out onto the street.
The street suddenly grew noisy. The townsfolk were celebrating a group of people dressed like immortals and thanking them. Chuan Lin took a closer look and, oh no, there was Chi Daixing. Better run before he embarrasses himself.
But he was spotted before he could get away, so he could only lower his dirty head. Huh? Chi Daixing didn't recognize him. He felt both relieved and heartbroken. He'd pursued him for two hundred years, after all. Had all that time and effort gone to waste? O_o
After that, he kept running into Chi Daixing. There was no avoiding traveling together, so to keep his identity from being discovered, he was forced to join Chi Daixing and his companions on their journey to uphold justice in the mortal world, while also searching for his younger brother, Da Ye. Chuan Lin had always thought he'd done a good job hiding who he was, not realizing his disguise had slipped halfway through the journey.
Then, one night, Chi Daixing suddenly barged into his room. He said nothing, only blocking Chuan Lin's way. “How much longer are you going to keep hiding it?” His voice, heavy with grief and restraint, pierced Chuan Lin's ears. And so Chi Daixing took him back to the sect, saying he wanted to become cultivation partners with him and keep him at Duanqing Mountain for the rest of his life. Chuan Lin was both frightened and excited (. ❛ ᴗ ❛.)
But when did he figure it out?
