Strange Tales at Midnight

Mystery + Strange Phenomena + Madness

I'm Lin Yifan, just an ordinary person. All I want is to live a plain, ordinary life in this world. So why, Heaven, do you keep making things so hard for me?

By a stroke of chance, I, Lin Yifan, an ordinary person, stepped into thin air and landed on the other side of this world, beneath its unknown and shadowy surface. Surrounded by strange phenomena and slaughter, how can an ordinary person like me survive? I left home to pursue my studies, but an accident led me into a world of the uncanny. A broken bell, a strange doll, and two identical girls.

Jin Ling: “Did I do something wrong, Sister? Why do you hate me?”

Yin Ling: “I don't understand why Mom and Dad don't love me!”

Have you ever seen the sea at Nanhai? It is the purest place the gods ever left behind in this world. She doesn't understand why her parents don't love her, why they abandoned her and sold her. Just as she doesn't understand why An Hai can't grow hyacinths. “I've been waiting for you to give me a hyacinth. I thought my flower had withered. Only later did I learn that my love had expired.”

An Hai of Nanhai City gave up the hyacinth he treasured most, and Zhou An'an never got to see her Brother Zhou Yang. She watched with her own eyes as its organs were taken, then it was burned alive. She hated them so much: the villagers who wanted to sacrifice her alive, her parents who sold it, and her younger brother, who was loved more than she was. Lin Yifan is dragged into the tangled love and hatred of these “sisters.”

Lin Yifan, I hate you. I could have rotted here, but you dragged me out of this abyss. Why did you make me believe again that someone in this world might love me?
