[More men than women + sweet romance + one-on-one]
Mu Niannian, a sixteen-year-old high school girl, unexpectedly transmigrates to another world where men vastly outnumber women. There, she hears a jaw-dropping law: every woman must marry at least five husbands, or the court will forcibly arrange enough matches to meet the quota.
Inside the resplendent palace hall,
Mu Niannian kneels in tears. “This commoner... must respectfully refuse.”
A court official scoffs. “Refuse? Hmph! You can refuse only if you have an Exemption from Marriage Gold Plaque!”
Mu Niannian is dumbfounded. “An Exemption from Marriage Gold Plaque? This commoner has only ever heard of a Gold Plaque of Immunity from Death. What... is this Exemption from Marriage Gold Plaque?”
Just then, the palace doors open a crack, and a handsome young gentleman in white glides into the hall. He holds a gleaming gold plaque and smiles faintly.
The young gentleman in white says, “An Exemption from Marriage Gold Plaque? How convenient. I happen to have one right here.”
One day, as they admire flowers and sip tea in a garden pavilion, her close friend teases her, “Every time you’re in danger, your savior becomes your future family. Is that some kind of special talent?”
Mu Niannian takes a small sip of tea and smiles. “How could it not be?”
