Time Stop: Free to Do as I Please

Three days ago, he was heading home from work at dusk, as usual. Passing an electronics store, he noticed a TV in the window playing an educational program about time travel. He stopped to watch, only to be knocked to the ground by a bicycle that had gone out of control. The back of his head slammed hard into a fire hydrant by the roadside, and everything went black. When he woke up in the hospital, the world seemed different.

He opened his eyes and looked at the traffic light in front of him. The green light had ten seconds left, and the sidewalk was crowded with people waiting to cross. He clenched his fist and silently repeated in his mind: "Stop time."
