Walking on Sunlight, Watching the Sea

If the years could bloom like flowers, then where in life would there be no springtime? The sun is the sun, and the sea is the sea. A person gazes at the sea beneath the sun, caught between fiery passion and icy cold, much like the myriad ways of life and the vicissitudes of the world. My pen name, Fei Yang Gu Jin, comes from Detective Chinatown 1990. Fei Yang Gu was a man of the Qing dynasty. His country was weak and its people poor, and it was bullied by other nations. Though his heart was filled with loyalty and courage, he was powerless to help. In the end, he gave his life for his country, sacrificing himself for a just cause. Before he died, he shouted, "Save China!" His words moved countless people. In the final moments of his life, he found meaning. Aren't we ordinary people much the same? The character Jin comes from a tribute to the author's grandfather. The protagonist, Bai Ri Hai, is unafraid of challenges and faces life bravely, carving out a place of his own. After enduring hardship and inner struggles, he comes to take fame and fortune, life and death, lightly, and searches for the meaning of being alive. In summary: Life has no meaning to begin with. If it must have one, then live as yourself. Don't be afraid or panic. When the sun sets, the moon still shines. If one day you truly have nothing left and your life has reached its end, then at the moment you close your eyes, feel no regrets and have no attachments. Feel happiness and relief, and picture the smiles of your parents, your beloved, your family and friends. Then go peacefully toward that new world.
