The story takes place in the 1990s, a special period when the cultural relics market was undercurrent and archaeological exploration and illegal excavation coexisted. The protagonist, Zhou Liang, is a small character who helps people in the antique market. His parents died young and he has been stumbling around in the market since he was a child. He has an extraordinary keen intuition about various cultural relics. Fatty is a child of Wednesday Liang, with a reckless and impulsive personality, but he is devoted to Wednesday Liang. Both of them are forced by life and long to change their destiny by finding the treasure in the ancient tomb.
The tomb they heard about this time was located in the vast desert in the northwest. It was said to be a mysterious Xixia royal tomb. In that era when information was not developed, Zhou Sanliang accidentally learned the clues about this royal tomb from a dying old man. Before his death, the old man gave him a piece of worn and yellowed parchment, with some strange symbols and marks pointing to the depths of the desert vaguely painted on it.
