Looking for a Novel That Hooks You Within the First Few Chapters
I want good writing and an author who has their head on straight, doesn't treat readers like idiots, and doesn't make a fool of themselves either. The plot shouldn't drag. Don't stretch something that could be resolved in one sentence across a chapter or two just to force a misunderstanding. Any genre is fine.
