Qu Jin Yuan × Bai Fan Yu
Bai Fan Yu accidentally transmigrates to a matriarchal kingdom and becomes the most doted-on youngest son of the General's Manor in the Xia Lin Kingdom. Qu Jin Yuan is the famously dim-witted third princess of Xia Lin. Her mother shows her no affection, her father dotes on her not at all, and she has been bullied by the noblewomen at court since childhood. After an accident, she recovers from her foolishness. What no one knows is that Qu Jin Yuan also leads the Ting Feng Pavilion.
Bai Fan Yu unexpectedly marries Qu Jin Yuan. The General's Manor falls from power, and Bai Fan Yu becomes pregnant. Their marriage is annulled, while Qu Jin Yuan is in Long Xin City fighting an epidemic.
When the eldest princess, Qu Jin Meng, kidnaps Bai Fan Yu, Qu Jin Yuan happens to arrive in time to rescue him. The two then settle down in Qin Xi Village, set up a pastry factory, have twins, and rescue a baby boy whose origins are shrouded in mystery.
Only later do they learn that the baby boy is the Son of Heaven, with the power to transcend nature and command all things to submit. A thousand years ago, though, the Greed, Obsession, Madness, and Delusion Calamity accidentally entered the mortal realm during an immortal's trials and became a hero, leaving him with a love tribulation. The hero failed to overcome it, and the Son of Heaven used his own power to save him. Heaven discovered what he had done.
A thousand years later, they finally learn that the hero has been reincarnated as the son of Bai Fan Yu, an otherworldly visitor. The Son of Heaven takes mortal form as a fetus along the hero's destined path, hoping to find him and stay by his side forever. Sadly, fate has other plans. The Son of Heaven and the hero cannot have it both ways: the hero is about to marry, while the Son of Heaven returns to Heaven's side.
Some details and characters are well drawn, but the plot connection is a bit stiff and the writing style needs to be improved. Four stars, come on!
