I Paint Green Skins for a Hundred Ghosts

When people die, if their obsessions remain unresolved, they wander among the living. My purpose is to dispel the obsessions of these spirits. With a brush in hand, I paint bodies for the souls fate brings my way, then send them back to the Nine Rivers. I know not where I came from, nor where I am going. In this otherworld, I wander through it, yet remain apart from it, left to watch the many faces of humanity and slowly savor the sights and sounds of mortal life. (This story is entirely fictional. Please don't take any similarities or ambiguities too seriously. Thank you!)
