A powerful pairing: two male leads, both strong, sweet romance with no angst, and a happy ending. In the eyes of the world, he is a ruthless, cold-blooded prince (later emperor), wielding power over the court and using iron-fisted methods. Yet he reserves all his tenderness and affection for one person: the cool and proud official Shen Zimo.
He is the most aloof official in court, icy and detached, keeping everyone at arm's length. Only in front of Xie Yu does he lower his guard and reveal the tenderness and dependence hidden deep in his heart.
Two strong leads join forces. From the imperial court to the martial world, from political intrigue to romance, they plan each step carefully even as they fall deeper for one another. Xie Yu's indulgence knows no bounds, and Shen Zimo saves his surprisingly sweet, clingy side for him alone.
This is a battle of love between equals, as well as a tender romance filled with affection and no angst.
A happy ending: the two join forces, offering the world as a bride price, and choosing only each other.
