Transmigrating to the Northern Song: I Am Emperor Huizong

Amid the tense atmosphere before the high school entrance exams, middle school student Jin Ping falls into a deep sleep under the weight of stress. He unexpectedly transmigrates through time to the Northern Song dynasty and becomes the historically famous Emperor Huizong of Song, Zhao Ji. This transformation turns his life upside down.

As Jin Ping adjusts to his new identity, he gradually discovers that although he has become emperor, the position comes with countless challenges and difficulties. At court, the powerful Cai Jing harbors sinister ambitions and constantly covets the throne. On the military front, the Jin dynasty watches like a tiger poised to pounce, and war at the borders could erupt at any moment, leaving the nation’s security hanging by a thread.

Faced with these thorny problems, Jin Ping draws on the wisdom and courage of a modern person to launch a series of sweeping reforms. He elevates capable and virtuous men such as Yue Fei, loyal ministers and able generals, while putting the court in order and cracking down on corruption. He introduces new currency policies to stabilize prices and improve people’s livelihoods. In the military, he personally leads the troops into battle, guiding the Song army through a series of gripping clashes with the Jin forces. In the end, he drives them back and protects the realm of Great Song.

Along the way, Jin Ping also discovers by chance that Li Shishi of the Northern Song looks exactly like Yue Yu, the class beauty he admired back in his own time. His heart stirs. He and Li Shishi embark on a romance across time, growing closer through poetry, music, chess, and painting, until their hearts find harmony.
