Blurb One: The first time they met as adults, she barged into his life by sticking her nose where it didn't belong, then kept appearing in his dreams.
In the dream, Jian Ye straightens up and pushes her down onto the sofa. Holding her by the neck, he hooks a finger under her chin and traces her eyelids, nose, the corner of her mouth, and her chin over and over. As he kisses her, he whispers in her ear, “You're mine. You always have been. You were the only one who decided we were breaking up. I never agreed. I won't let you go.” He loves kissing the black mole on her nose most of all, as if it were made just for him. Everything that happens later in the dream eventually becomes reality.
Blurb Two:
“Class monitor, did the teacher assign homework?”
“Yeah!”
“When is it due?”
“I just turned it in!”
“What?!” She instantly blew up. “I've never seen you hand it in this fast before!”
“Today I just felt like turning it in early. So what?” He looked infuriatingly smug, like he was saying, “I'm the class rep. I can turn it in whenever I want. What are you going to do about it?”
“Did you wake up on the wrong side of the bed?”
“No!”
“Then why are you being so snappy?”
“I'm not!”
“Then why didn't you remind me?”
“You asked the class monitor, didn't you?” he said, casting a disdainful glance at the class monitor, who had his head lowered.
“But the class monitor didn't tell me when you were turning it in!”
“Then ask me. I'm the class rep.”
“I am asking you now, aren't I?”
“I know. I turned it in.”
“Why didn't you remind me when you handed it in?”
“Didn't you ask him?” he said, pointing at the class monitor...
After school, he grabbed the still-angry girl with possessive force. “If you need something, come to me, understand? Don't go asking anyone else.”
