Ji Qingyan, a disciple of the Ten Thousand Flowers Sect, wakes to find himself a homeless man on the streets of Gotham.
When a thug tries to rob him at gunpoint, he instinctively draws his Phoenixfall Brush and taps the man's pressure point.
"Don't be afraid." He smiles gently at the frightened civilians behind him. "My move, 'The Finest of the Bellwood,' will only immobilize him for a moment."
The thug, frozen in place, suddenly collapses, foaming at the mouth and convulsing.
A deep voice comes from the shadows: "What did you do to him?"
Batman steps out of the darkness, scrutinizing the young man from the East who wields a writing brush as a weapon.
Later, a legend spreads among Arkham's patients: If you see a person in blue robes carrying a brush, play dead at once and you'll get stuck with fewer needles.
And somehow, a row of jade syringes has appeared in Batman's utility belt.
