Bound to a Billionaire System: I Made It Big Through Fandom

[One-on-one, devoted solo fan + tycoon System + fan-site photographer + no romance + pure fangirling] Wen Ruo was a 996 corporate drudge, facing not only exploitation by her boss but also backstabbing from her coworkers. In a fit of anger, she quit without another job lined up. After lying around at home for a month, she finally found a new position, but on her way to the interview, a bout of low blood sugar made her faint by the roadside. That was when a System claiming to be a tycoon bound itself to her. System: Host, all you have to do is become the fan of one little-known idol, and you’ll get 200,000 RMB! Wen Ruo: For real? System: No tricks, no small print. And every time your idol rises in popularity, you’ll get an unexpected surprise. As it happened, Wen Ruo had recently been scrolling Douyin when she fell for Song Jichen, the vocalist in a boy band that had debuted just a week earlier. Her fangirling journey officially began. She bought every piece of merch and brand collaboration she could find. A signed autograph? Easy. Of course she’d get seats on the floor at events. Running a fan site, spreading the word, making fan edits, organizing offline support, and getting ads on giant screens were all a piece of cake. A movie by a top director? Fund it! An original song? Fund it! Fashion opportunities, luxury brand deals, magazine features, and blockbuster drama franchises: she got them all. Pure fangirling, with the female lead building a little career on the side. [Note: This is a fictional setting, so please don’t compare it to real life. The male lead is not based on anyone, so don’t make wild guesses.] No romance! No romance! No romance! Important things have to be said three times.
