The Journey of a Country Schoolteacher's Growth

Lou Caiwei missed the university entrance exam cutoff by one point. Through hard work, she successfully retook the exam, got into the major she wanted, and became a middle school Chinese teacher. In her teaching career, Caiwei encountered all kinds of unexpected difficulties. She was transferred from a township school to a rural school, and even to one in the mountains. For one year, she taught at an elementary school. Caiwei overcame challenges with transportation and teaching materials, and stayed committed to teaching on the front lines. She also reaped unexpected rewards along the way and met many like-minded colleagues. From an unremarkable young woman, Caiwei grew through the trials of life and work into a strong-willed, responsible rural teacher.
