Therefore, people have the problem of subjectivity and objectivity, and human behavior is therefore divided into two types: action and inaction. Being subjectively self-righteous and not taking into account objective changes is called doing something. Subjectively, there are no personal thoughts, but changes with objective changes, that is, doing things in accordance with nature. This is inaction. If you do nothing, you can do anything. "Always have no desire, so as to observe its beauty. Always have desire, so as to observe its pleasure." Only when people have no selfish desires can they remain quiet. Only in this way can they experience the mystery of "Tao" and adapt to and comply with objective changes. If you have selfish desires, you cannot be quiet, so you cannot experience the mystery of "Tao". Even if you experience it, it will be limited. In this way, it will be difficult for people to comply with objective changes, and many unsatisfactory things will happen in the journey of life. Therefore, to cultivate Taoism, one must cultivate virtue. There should be no personal thoughts and everything should be done objectively. This is "virtue". Only when people get rid of selfish desires can they give up their personal ideas and be able to do everything in accordance with objective nature. Then in real life, you can be optimistic and comfortable in dealing with things and achieve "doing everything".
