Historical Romance + Rebirth + Comeback + Sweet Romance
In her previous life, Lin Zhaoxue, the eldest legitimate daughter of the Marquis of Zhen’guo’s household, devoted herself to supporting the crown prince, only to be betrayed by him and her younger sister. After the crown prince ascended the throne, he sent her poisoned wine, and the entire Marquis of Zhen’guo’s household was executed. She died with hatred in her heart, only to unexpectedly be reborn in the year she had just come of age.
In this new life, Lin Zhaoxue is determined not to repeat her past mistakes. She puts away her naivety and uses her knowledge of her previous life to see through the schemes of the various factions. At court, she uses her intelligence to advise her father and foil one attempt after another by their political enemies to frame him.
Among the noblewomen of the capital, she sheds her former meek image. She gives her scheming younger sister and the noblewomen who once kicked her when she was down a taste of their own medicine, making them suffer the consequences of their actions.
By chance, Lin Zhaoxue meets Jun Wuxie, the leader of a mysterious organization in the martial world. Drawn to her resilience and intelligence, Jun Wuxie decides to help her take revenge. With his help, Lin Zhaoxue gains control of more martial-world factions, using them to balance the forces at court.
Meanwhile, the crown prince who betrayed her in her previous life sees how she has changed and unexpectedly falls for her, hoping to win her heart again. Lin Zhaoxue sneers at his advances, repeatedly exposing his hypocrisy and joining forces with upright officials to weaken his faction.
In the end, Lin Zhaoxue succeeds in taking her revenge. She brings down the crown prince and makes everyone who betrayed her in her previous life pay for their deeds. Along the way, she and Jun Wuxie pledge themselves to each other, joining hands to roam the martial world and become the stuff of legend.
