You Have a New Criminal, Please Review

[Two male leads + both each other's first and only + happy ending]

[A lighthearted crime-solving story with a “feed-him-like-a-pig” approach. Mostly food, drink, and everyday life, with solving cases on the side.]

[Wily, roguish, handsome, tsundere fox team leader] ✘ [Aloof, strikingly handsome, self-disciplined giraffe deputy]

More than twenty years ago, a hostage-taking incident occurred at a kindergarten in Songyue City.

A cute little boy, far too bold for his own good, stood up to the criminal.

Enraged, the criminal swung a knife at him.

In a split second,

another pretty little boy threw himself in front of the cute boy and took the knife for him.

The criminal was killed with a single shot by the special police.

By a twist of fate, the two boys lost touch.

But in that moment, a seed took root in each of their hearts: the desire to become police officers.

More than twenty years later, Criminal Investigation Team Five welcomes a captain with no casework experience,

a limp, and a head full of unruly hair like a fox's.

His deputy is the pretty boy from back then...

A series of cases within cases is unraveled by a pink sticky note.

One case after another, though seemingly unrelated,

all lead to a mysterious VR arcade.

When the wily fox crosses paths with the aloof giraffe again,

the gears of fate begin turning once more.

It isn't the first time Lin Yan has saved Ye Shuo, but the second.

The first time goes back two thousand years...

The romance is a slow burn, with episodic case-solving, everyday food and drink, and a lighthearted ensemble cast.

P.S. Mild mystery and deduction, two strong leads, and a touch of the supernatural, but nothing scary.
