In the oasis virtual world where "consciousness can be quantified and exploited", a fringe team composed of a scientist's replica with a mysterious identity, a former architect implanted with a "detector", an emotional person and a top hacker, struggled to survive from the bottom to discover the truth about the "ranch", and finally destroyed the "cancerous core" (the founder) of the system at a huge sacrifice. On top of the ruins, faced with the lost relatives (shepherd/father) and new survival challenges, they embarked on the difficult road of reconstruction and redemption.
