(One-on-one romance, everyday life, sweet and doting)
When Cen Yu opens her eyes, she discovers she’s transmigrated into another period novel, where she’s become a rich, brainless, troublesome female supporting character.
In the book, Cen Yu’s fiancé goes to the countryside and falls for a fellow educated youth. He sends a letter back to the city, breaking off their engagement and declaring that he plans to marry the other girl. When Cen Yu learns what happened, she follows him to Qinghe Village, doing all sorts of foolish, humiliating things to win him back.
Her attempt to frame the other educated youth fails, and she ends up having an intimate encounter with Qin Ye, the notorious village bully.
The villagers expect Cen Yu to make a scene or attempt suicide, but the next day, news spreads that the two are getting married.
When everyone hears they’re tying the knot, they shake their heads and insist Cen Yu would never marry that ill-fated orphan with no parents.
The day after they register their marriage, her former fiancé comes by to talk her out of it. “Marrying him is throwing your life away. You’ll regret it.”
Cen Yu ignores him and uses a broom to chase him out.
The villagers gossip that the couple won’t last six months before divorcing. Yet year after year passes, and they hear that Qin Ye has become a wealthy businessman and moved Cen Yu into a big house.
