After the September 18th Incident, the call for anti-Japanese aggression became increasingly louder. Su Hailong and Huang Xiansheng fired the first shot in Shenyang City's fight against the Japanese invaders. After his adoptive father and relatives passed away one after another, Su Hailong stepped out of his grief, actively formed an anti-Japanese team, and joined the Northeast Anti-Japanese Revolutionary Army with Deng Tiemei. Influenced and helped by Zhang Wanting, Su Hailong gloriously joined the Communist Party of China and led the troops to inflict a heavy blow to the Japanese Kwantung Army. The Japanese Kwantung Army conducted many encirclement and suppression campaigns against Su Hailong's troops. As the situation of the anti-Japanese struggle became increasingly severe, the Northeast Anti-Japanese Federation was ordered to enter the Far East of the Soviet Union for rest and reorganization. Su Hailong was ordered to study at Yan'an Anti-Japanese University. After the study, Su Hailong was sent to the 88th Infantry Brigade of the Soviet Far East. Su Hailong led small teams into Northeast China many times to infiltrate and investigate the Japanese Kwantung Army, and successfully blew up the giant howitzer known as "Asia's No. 1 Artillery" in the Tiger Head Fortress, clearing the way for a future general offensive.
