During the Tianbao period of the Tang Dynasty, Chang'an, this unparalleled and prosperous capital city, was like a bright pearl, shining in the eastern land. The city wall is towering and stretches for several miles. The masonry on the city wall glows with a cold light under the sunlight, as if silently telling the story of the prosperous years of the past. Twelve city gates stand majestically, welcoming in and out every day, handling the world's wealth, talents and stories.
In the city, Zhuque Street is wide and straight, like a giant dragon running through the north and south, dividing Chang'an City into two. There are many shops on both sides of the street, including wine shops, teahouses, cloth shops and banks. In the wine shop, the aroma of wine overflows, and literati, poets, and heroes gather together to talk, recite poetry, or compete in martial arts; in the tea house, the aroma of tea lingers, and tea guests sip tea while listening to storytellers narrating the past and present. The legendary story; in the cloth store, the silks and satins are dazzling and colorful, attracting the ladies to linger; in front of the bank, people come and go, and the abacus crackles non-stop, showing the prosperity of the city's commerce.
